Philosophy and Design

 

It all starts with patterns.

Our patterns are designed in Italy and tested by proffesnal cyclist who are leaders in this sport.

Patterns start with a motto that the apparel should feel so good you never think about it, It must look great ,It must be flap-free and above all

It should be of the best value 

We make apparel suitable for  cyclists the same way it is been made for a serious cyclist. If we wouldn’t feel good about riding all day in it, we won’t build or sell it.

Designed in Italy, fabricated in India

Men’s and Women’s specific patterns. Men and women have different body types and the apparel must be shaped to gender.

 

Image Design

Many companies size the designs for the smallest size and place it on the larger sizes without scaling to it up proportionally. At Heini Sport we scales everything to the specific size so that art looks the same on any size. though it takes more time we like to present the best so it will make the team look elegant.

 

Fabric and other raw materials

 

Materials: Our raw materials are the best.

 

The best primary fabrics – We source the best technical fabrics from Italy, . Jersey’s are typically 100% polyester. We choose the fabric that stretch for flap free riding. These fabrics are sanitized and sublimated for high quality output in design and  offer UV protection. 

There are lots of third party fabrics out there, many used by low cost producers, particularly made in  China and Vietnam but we choose to insure that our customers receive the best fabrics which are hazard free for human skin.

Bottoms– Bibs, shorts,require a skintight aerodynamic fit. That requires elastane (also known as spandex) content in the fabric. We’ve selected and use two different fabrics for these products. They feel great, fit great and being flap free, optimize wind resistance and maximize the ride comfort.

The Pads – A bottom is only as good as the pad is.

 

Only one country manufactures pads suitable for serious cyclists is Italy.

There are cheaper pads as fabrics made in China  , however they are noway compared in terms of quality and ride comfort

They are just rebranding the pads developed and manufactured made by the referenced Italian suppliers.

Really No Alternatives? Low end Asian or Mexican sourced apparel sometimes uses generic locally produced pads – ride on them once and you’ll realize why HC&S Apparel does not use them!

we at HC&S Apparel only uses the higher end pads suitable for 4+ hours in the saddle. Our high end Champ/lucky pad is antimicrobial, suitable for 6+ hour rides and has variable density to make the ride comfortable.

 

Zipper– we use YKK zippers. The best zipper known in apparel industry .YKK zippers are reliable, rarely fail.  As “small part – big problem”. A broken zipper ruins the apparel. We take the quality approach and use only YKK.

 

Italian Silicone Grippers – Our Silicone grippers come from Italy , they are designed to give good comfort.

 

Special threads – our threads stretch just like our fabrics. And, of course,. And we matching thread colors to the apparel design.

 

 

Sewing

Multiple Sewing Technologies – It takes three to four sewing machines to build our product.  We use state of art machines to produce a perfect garment .

We sew locally which helps us to  perfect and manage the sewing process.

Sewing locally means better controlled quality  And of course sewing locally means we produce faster.

 

Local Manufacturing

We make it all process in house.

That, combined with our patent pending proprietary manufacturing process, enables rapid fulfillment and 1 unit minimum orders.
